If you heard of spoofcard you will know its a service thats used to fake caller id. They are offering for tomorrow only free fake caller id all day long. So its a one time sorta deal. Get in on it while you can and prank your friends and good buddys that are always getting you first on april fools. Now most of you can’t think up anything interesting so i will give you one thing to use. 

For this prank your friend is going to need a girlfriend that sometimes wonders about there boyfriend being a little on the gay side and this will hammer it home. You may now know where this is going. Find your local gay bar in the phone book and write down the number. You won’t need it right away but this prank has 2 parts.

 Now use spoofcard to call his girlfriend spoofing your friends cell phone number. She will say hello and you say “in a gay voice” hi this is pedro from “Gay Bar Name” we have a cell phone we found last night in the bar we are trying to find the owner of it. We looked in the phone and seen you were one of the last dailed numbers. Then have a little fun saying you dailed her since you figured it was best not to use the contacts “DAD and MOM in the phone”. Now here’s the deal sealer. To make things seem alot more real just hang up all the sudden in mid sentence and hit end on the call.

 Now i think you may know where this is going. Now hangup on the spoofcard side to and redail her number and this time use the gay bars number. The gay bar’s name will come up on her caller id. She will answer. Now all her doubt about someone just having her boyfriends phone and was just messing around will fade a bit more. 

You have now called from his number and the gay bars number” Then say sorry the phones battery went dead but if she wanted to pick up the phone around 7 pm would be good. If all goes well your buddy will come home from work and she will have some pretty weird damn questions for him. NOW you know he’s going to DENY being at a gay bar last night when the question is asked. She will ask how he got his phone back and most likely thing he knew he lost it there and picked it up on his way home from work.

Then you can maybe drop by at there place just after work unexpected in the middle of little fight maybe and just be like “HEY guys hows everything going”. Then tell them “APRIL FOOLS SUCKAS”.

If you just got a call from 666-666-6666 most likely satan the prince of darkness is not trying to contact you. More and more you see new posts on forums poping up where someone got a call from 666-666-6666 this is none other then your friends or someone else playing a practical joke on you. I just recently found this on the internet from a online forum.

He blamed me for his unhappiness since i left him after 7 years of a rocky relationship. I still loved him but could no longer be with him. a year and a month later i was watching the horror movie “saw” and kept thinking of him as i watched it alone. about an hour into the movie my phone rang and across my screen it read “666-666-6666″. i did not answer it as i was terrified. i called a friend and told her what happened and my call waiting clicked in and it read 394-194-1941. Our old area code in florida was 941. i called my phone company and they said no one could possibly call me from those numbers because they do not exsist. i dont know what to think about this and was wondering if anyone has a story or thought on my unexplained call”

This phone call is none other then someone she knew playing a joke on her. While that was back in 2004 and not as many people knew about the site Fake Caller ID. Its very easy to explain it was just someone using the Fake Caller ID calling Card using the spoofed phone number 666-666-666.

With caller id spoofing become so easy and accessible to the masses like the Fake Caller ID system. You now need to protect yourself and things like your voice mail from caller id spoofing. Some voice mail systems won’t ask you for a pin if you are calling it from the correct number. But this number can be spoofed and that creates a major problem. So if you get a new cell phone always password protect your voicemail. Many cell phone operators, like Aliant, NBTEL, Bell, ATT, T-Mobile use caller id authentication for voice mail.

It is even rumored that Paris hilton used sites like Fake Caller Id to gain access to other celebrities voice mail like Lindsay Lohan. ” Spoof announced today that it had terminated the accounts of more than 50 customers, including non other then Paris Hilton, who they claim used the Caller ID Spoofing service to obtain unauthorized access to voice mail accounts on a national mobile telephone network. Many of the terminated customers and the victims whose mailboxes were accessed are well-known celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan.” So what was the cost to Paris? Around $0.07 a minute. That’s what Spoof ID, another site, was charging for a hundred minute card this morning when I took a look.

If you must provide information on the phone only provide it to someone you know and you can always call them back on trusted 1-800 numbers on the back of your Bank/VISA/Mastercard/AMEX card etc. The easiest way to remove the possibility of fake caller ID related crime is to know them well enough so you can recognize their tone of voice on the phone. This way, if you absolutely have to share personal information over the phone, you will be able to do so or atleast have somewhat of a peace of mind.

Also be very carefull of digital emails. One of the emerging strategies is the combining of phishing and marketing technologies, such as mail merge, with automated voice response technologies. In these scams, a number is included in the email for you to call. Do not call these numbers ever. Hackers are increasingly making use of Automated Voice Response approaches almost the same as your bank does with (”please enter your credit card number you’re calling about, followed by the phone number associated with this account”) that may sound real, but they are designed to steal the four things they need the most most your name, your social security number, your credit card, and your phone number.

Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient’s caller ID display which is not that of the actual originating phone station; the term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered nefarious by the speaker. Just as common e-mail spoofing can make it appear that a email message came from anywhere the sender chooses, caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes. For example you could prank your friend with a call from 666-666-6666. Because people are prone to assume a call is coming from the number (and hence, the associated person, or persons), this can call the service’s value into question. A lot of people are so used to Caller ID and trust it without even thinking about the call can be spoofed. One of the big players in selling the phone cards used in caller ID spoofing is SPOOFCARD.
